Panels rollformed to length in 16 or 18-inch widths, with striations or minor ribs where the run is long enough that oil canning would otherwise show. Our default spec is 24-gauge Galvalume steel in a PVDF finish, from lines like McElroy Metal, ASC Building Products, Metal Sales, and Bridger Steel. Most common on the custom builds and bench homes from Providence up through North Logan and Smithfield, where the wind exposure and the fifty-year outlook both argue for concealed fasteners.

The workhorse of Cache Valley agriculture: R-panel and PBR profiles, U-panel, and classic corrugated, in the gauges and finishes that suit each building's job. We roof and re-roof dairy free-stall barns, calf barns, hay covers, machine sheds, and shops from Amalga and Trenton up through Lewiston, Clarkston, and Cornish, plus plenty of homes where the budget favors panel and the roofline suits it.

Metal is close to standard up Logan Canyon and around Beaver Mountain, Tony Grove, and the Sinks, for two reasons: nobody is there in February to notice a problem, and the snow needs to leave the roof on its own. Two more considerations we detail for canyon properties: Class A fire-rated assemblies matter on parcels bordering Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest land, and access windows are short, so cabin work gets scheduled around the road, not the calendar.

Fastener back-out, washer failure, sealant and flashing renewal, ridge and eave closure replacement, oil-canning assessment, and panel swaps after wind events or a limb coming down off the canyon.

The 15-to-20-year re-screw that keeps an ag roof alive: oversized replacement fasteners driven into fresh purlin bite, new sealing washers, and the ridge closures refreshed while we're up there. One visit covers every structure on the property with an itemized number per building. This is the single most common metal call we take in the valley, and it costs a fraction of the panel replacement it prevents.

Seam-clamped systems (S-5! ColorGard and comparable rail) that grip without penetrating, pad-style guards where the panel profile calls for them, and Utah-made options from TRA Snow & Sun out of American Fork. We place retention against the slide paths your roof has already demonstrated: over entries, walkways, gas meters, propane tanks, and the gutter runs that keep coming off.

Seam roofs take S-5! PV clamps with zero penetrations, which makes standing seam the best solar substrate in the valley by a wide margin, especially since the roof will outlast two generations of panels. Tell us if solar is in the plan and we'll set panel widths and seam spacing to suit the array before anything gets rollformed.

Several of the newer subdivisions in Nibley, North Logan, and the Providence bench carry covenants written when metal meant corrugated barn panel. We'll pull the profile and color documentation your architectural committee needs, and in our experience muted matte finishes in bronze, dark gray, and forest tones clear review most easily.
